Royal Selangor’s acquisition of over 35,000 moulds and patterns, dating to the 18th century, and featuring amongst them works by some of the era’s greatest silversmiths, created an opportunity to indulge in historicist fantasy, mimicking heavily decorated sterling silver relics of 18th and 19th century Europe.
