Description

Royal Selangor expands its Benevolence collection with four new mythical creatures drawn from the rich traditions of Chinese folklore and Feng Shui. Benevolence delves further into the world of auspicious beings, bringing together four legendary creatures associated with justice, peace, prosperity and protection. Created in collaboration with Master sculptor Xu Xiao Yong, recognised as one of China’s leading sculptors, Benevolence continues his creative partnership with Royal Selangor following the original Celestial Guardians collection. Drawing on the vocabulary of classical Chinese sculpture, Master Xu interprets the distinctive character of these hybrid creatures through expressive forms and considered details, bringing their centuries-old legends and auspicious symbolism into a contemporary collection.
